January 2025 Meeting Minutes

The meeting began at 5:30.

Steve distributed the 2025 proposed budget and the final monthly budget comparison for 2024.

Steve went down the Town budget line items he had changed like FICA and postage etc.  He stated the distributed budget reflects the final 2024 expenditures as well in both the town and highway portions.  He stated the only line item he changed in the Highway budget was the FICA line item to accommodate the new payroll tax that went into effect July 1^st, 2024. Both budgets as submitted are 542,704.15 for the town and 298,674.90 for the highway.

Steve distributed an email from Michael Kelley regarding the plow truck.

Steve distributed this year’s mileage certificate along with last year’s for examination, comparison, and signatures.

Steve asked for clarification on dog tag fees for 2025.  He was instructed to charge the state’s minimum fees of $11 and $15.

Discussion on the Highway budget followed.  Tom made a motion set the budgets as submitted with the additions of raising the “Outside Contracting” line item by 10,000.00 and the “highway labor” by $5,000.00.  Shaun seconded the motion and the budgets are set as $542,704.15 for the town and the highway at $313,674.90 with the revised labor and outside contracting numbers.

Tom made a motion to adjourn at 6:48.  Shaun seconded the motion and the meeting adjourned.
