The warned hearing began at 7:00.

Keith Knapp began with a slide presentation showing the properties that would be included in the proposed fire district.  It was noted that three properties do not have lake frontage but are included because it has to be contiguous.  The three properties are Thomas Bushey, Stephen Beyer and Kathleen Sgorbati.

Thomas Bushey stated he was against being forced into something.

Jeff Chatfield stated that it was his understanding from the association’s meeting that they were going to hold off on forming the district for now.

Keith Knapp continued with slides of the dam’s poor condition.

Discussion followed the slide presentation.  No action taken.  The hearing ended at 8:00.

Those who remained in the room were: the Selectboard, John Lanza, Colleen Wright and David Crane.  The Selectboard meeting reconvened at 8:10.

Steve reported that Rick Iffland was not happy with the reenactment horse mess that was left on the Green.

The Orders and monthly budget comparison were distributed for examination and signatures.  Steve stated he had borrowed the money from the Reappraisal fund and paid the Education bill.  Additionally, that he had gone up to the firehouse to see if the work was completed and it was so he paid the final McKernon bill.

Discussion followed on the proposed fire district.  Tom asked Steve to ask Cindy Hill about what if the fire district does a bond and goes belly-up, is the town on the hook for the debts?

Colleen stated she was tired of hearing rumors about the Cook property and that she is opposed to changing the zoning.

Shannon said that they were only trying to engage people to have more community.   That’s why they sent out the survey.   Discussion followed on the Cook property and Subhub.

Shaun made a motion to approve the minutes of May 5th as written. Tom seconded the motion and the minutes were accepted.

Tom made a motion to adjourn at 9:22.  Shaun seconded and the meeting adjourned.
